Day 8 - Gates Pass

The weather was much warmer today! We had our final swim today at the U of A pool, once again the main set was the 15X300 drafting set with Saskatchewan. Since it was the last swim workout we all went off the 10 meter diving board, went in the hot tub, and took some awesome pictures under the water. From the swim we headed out to do a long ride to do Gates Pass (a half mile climb at 14% grade). The ride was off to a good start until Mr. Brault decided his cursed bike would act up again, but no worries he finished the ride on Riley Ungers bike because Riley was having some allergy issues. The road was quite bumpy and rough which resulted with a few flat tires. Overall it was a great ride; there were bike handling learning experiences for some, and the most of the younger ones enjoyed the climb up Gates Pass. The ride was shortened by 30km because he team is feeling a little bit worn out. The ride was still 90 km and a little over 3 hours in length.

In the evening we finished the day off with a short 30 - 60 minute run. After that some of the people walked over to the mall to see a movie called Clash of The Titans. A few other people took a trip over to Target, the few left stayed home and watched a movie.
